Get an instant valuation for your current vehicle

The trade-in process starts with getting an accurate valuation of your current vehicle. You'll provide details about your car's make, model, year, mileage, and condition. Our system uses real-time market data to give you a competitive trade-in value that you can apply directly to your new car purchase. This step is completely optional, but it can significantly reduce your overall cost.

Common questions about this step

How accurate is the online trade-in valuation?

Our valuations are based on real-time market data and are typically within 5% of the final appraisal. The final value may be adjusted after a physical inspection, but we guarantee our online estimate as a starting point.

Do I have to trade in my car?

No, trading in your current vehicle is completely optional. You can choose to sell it privately or keep it. The trade-in option is simply there for your convenience.

What if my car has damage?

You can still trade in a car with damage. Be honest about the condition when providing details, and our system will adjust the valuation accordingly. Minor wear and tear is expected and factored into all valuations.

When do I need to provide my trade-in vehicle?

You'll bring your trade-in vehicle when you pick up your new car or when it's delivered. We'll do a final inspection at that time to confirm the condition matches what you described online.

Can I change my mind about the trade-in?

Yes, you can modify or cancel your trade-in up until the final delivery. However, this may affect your financing terms if the trade-in value was applied to your down payment.

What is the difference between trade-in value and down payment?

Trade-in value is the appraised worth of your current vehicle based on condition and market data. Down payment is separate cash you put toward the purchase. They are independent — you can have both a trade-in and a separate down payment.

Can the AI assistant change my trade-in value?

No. The trade-in value is set by the appraisal system and finalized during the in-person inspection at the dealership. The assistant can adjust your down payment but cannot change the trade-in appraisal.

How did you come up with the value of my car?

The appraisal uses your vehicle's year, make, model, trim, mileage, and condition compared against real-time wholesale and retail market transaction data. The online value is a guaranteed starting point that is confirmed or adjusted during the in-person inspection at the dealership.
