What is GAP insurance and do I need it?

GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) insurance covers the difference between what you owe on your loan and what your car insurance pays if your vehicle is totaled or stolen. It's especially recommended if you made a small down payment, have a long loan term, or your vehicle depreciates quickly. Without GAP, you could owe thousands on a car you no longer have.

What does an extended warranty cover?

Extended warranties (vehicle service contracts) cover mechanical and electrical breakdowns after your factory warranty expires. Coverage levels vary - basic plans cover major components like engine and transmission, while comprehensive plans cover almost everything except wear items. All plans include roadside assistance and rental car reimbursement.

What is the difference between factory warranty and an extended warranty?

Your factory warranty comes included from the manufacturer and covers defects for a set time and mileage period that varies by brand. A Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) extends coverage beyond that period, protecting you from expensive mechanical and electrical repairs after the factory warranty expires.
